Ensemble Vocapella Limburg

MULTI-AWARD-WINNING MEN’S CHAMBER CHOIR

Country: Germany
Conductor: Tristan Meister
Voicing: TTB(B)

Ensemble Vocapella Limburg was founded in 2007 with a commitment to the art of men’s choral literature. The choir’s repertoire spans all eras of choral music for men’s voices, including music of Renaissance as well as contemporary pieces written specifically for the ensemble by renowned composers.

With conductor Tristan Meister, Ensemble Vocapella Limburg has built an excellent reputation and is frequently invited to give concerts at home and abroad. Concert tours have taken the singers to Japan, Brasil, Argentina, Paraguay, Hungary, Belgium, Bulgaria, and all parts of Germany.

The ensemble has garnered awards at numerous competitions, including the Budapest Choir Competition (2013), the Hessian Choir Competition in Schlitz (2013), the German Choir Competition in Weimar (2014), and the international Choir Competition in Varna (2016).

“One thing was clearly audible with the first sounds: Here a choir moved at the highest level of interpretation, here the singers of each voice could seamlessly join the great choirs of Stuttgart - and that means something in the choir-rich Stuttgart!” – Stuttgart-Obertürkheim, concert review 2015.

Ensemble Vocapella Limburg’s members say they are most looking forward to the rich cultural exchange to be had at WSCM2020 and welcome the inspiration and new musical impulses this will bring.
