Kammerchor Stuttgart, founded by Frieder Bernius in 1968, has forged an internationally-recognised and refined sound. In its 50 plus years of existence the choir has received great acclaim from audiences and critics alike.

This choir has a large and varied a cappella repertoire especially focused on the 19th and 20th century, and has premiered around forty pieces of contemporary music. To date it has produced 90 recordings for EMI, Sony and Carus and has received more than 40 international record prizes such as Diapason, Edison, International Music Award, and the German Record Prize.

The ensemble tours frequently through Europe, Asia and North America and is regularly invited to major European festivals and performs in renowned concert halls. WSCM2020 will be Kammerchor Stuttgart fourth appearance at a World Symposium, making it the most frequently-selected for the event. The choir previously showcased at the 1st, 4th and 10th WSCM in Vienna, Sydney and Seoul.
